We'll be updating this list of problems and fixes quite frequently, so if you don't see the problem you're having just yet, don't despair. Summary: Players are reporting that items stored in their stash such as Runes are going missing, even for offline characters. If you're affected, you'll have to wait for a patch. Quick fix: Blizzard says this is due to an older AVX instruction set accidentally being included in the final build. Summary: Some players with older model CPUs are unable to launch the client for Diablo 2: Resurrected. This lag seems to occur when playing in online mode. A few minutes later, the scroll will be used up and the item identified. Summary: When a player uses a scroll of identify, it isn't consumed and the item isn't identified. Selecting the option for playing offline may keep you from being kicked out. Quick fix: Again, this is related to ongoing server stress. Summary: Some players are being kicked out of the game even after they get in.
Server crashing or disconnecting from the game Quick fix Blizzard says not to use the same name for your offline and online characters, as it's related to this issue. Summary Same as above, but there's a bug particular to offline characters. Try disconnecting then reloading the game. Quick fix: We're fairly certain the character wasn't actually deleted but that this is due to server stress. Some players get an error message saying the character data can't be found. Summary: After creating a character, players are not able to find that character when logging back into the game. We'll share more when a fix is available. Quick fix: As above, the servers are being slammed at the moment. Summary: Players who have created a character are told their character is already in a game on the server. For now, try waiting a few minutes then closing and re-opening the game. Quick fix: Blizzard is acknowledging that servers are being slammed right now, with more details to come. Summary: Players aren't able to create a character. Reboot the game or play in offline mode to fix it. Quick fix: This seems to only happen when trying to play online. Summary: Very rarely, players will begin the game and be greeted by a black screen. Close the application, wait a minute, then retry. Quick fix: As Diablo 2: Resurrected just went live across all regions, there might be a slight delay in the servers coming online. Summary: If the game is saying it isn't currently available for you play online. Players who are online and playing should logout before the shutdown if possible.- Blizzard CS - The Americas SeptemGame won't start online We expect this maintenance to last 30 minutes.
